So I’ve calmed down a little bit after the game. It was still embarrassing, and it wasn’t a good look for the team, but there’s still optimism going forward.
Herbert had his worst game of his career, but that happens with people. He hasn’t won a playoff game into appearances, but Peyton Manning didn’t win his first two playoff appearances and look where he is now. The chargers last year had one of the worst defenses and had only won five games. They won 11 games this season and had the best Defense in terms of points allowed going into the wild card game.
If this is what Jim Harbaugh and this staff can do in the first year, imagine what they could do in the future.
My question is: what are the biggest areas of improvement that the team needs to address in the off-season? Is it just simply offensive line and a top receiver?
